These beautiful, worn linens caused me to think about all the voices that must have sung their songs in intellectual pursuit around the table. I'm sure conversations were high spirited. But, what of her inner voice? The inner voice of all women captured in cloth. I have altered her table linens to reflect the rhythm of the endless repetitive motions of handwork in setting a daily table. The cloth becomes journal pages recording both time and fruition.
