For Leave Space, I printed a photograph of an insect-eaten kale leaf onto cotton organdy and hand stitched around the empty spaces. I then washed the fabric, eliminating the photograph and leaving only the stitching. The cloth sheet was cut into sample pieces for the book. Photographs were printed on paper handmade by the artist.
